An Arabic DJ in Dubai plays Arabic and Khaleeji music next to international hits, so Gulf, Levantine and international guests all find their songs. At weddings the DJ covers the dabke or zaffe entrance, then moves between Arabic and English music on the dance floor. Bollywood, Persian and Russian blocks can be added when your guest list needs them. Send your date and we send the DJs whose library fits.
Price: a standard 3 to 4 hour party set usually costs AED 2,500 to AED 4,500, and a 4 to 5 hour wedding package AED 4,500 to AED 8,000. See DJ prices in Dubai.
Arabic and Khaleeji sets
When Emirati, Saudi or other Gulf family are present, an Arabic and Khaleeji set is essential, especially during the dabke or zaffe entrance. Not every DJ carries a deep enough Arabic library. Ask whether the DJ has a current Khaleeji and dabke set, not only older Arabic pop. Say so at the enquiry stage, because it changes which DJ on the roster is booked.
Mixing Arabic and English music
Most Dubai weddings and parties mix nationalities. The usual plan is open format international music as the base, with Arabic blocks timed for the moments that matter to the family. A rough split helps the DJ plan, for example 40 percent international, 30 percent Arabic, 20 percent Bollywood and 10 percent left to the DJ's read of the room. Give the DJ a must play list, a do not play list and your split.
Bollywood, Persian and Russian blocks
- Bollywood and Bhangra. A near standard block at South Asian weddings, usually after dinner when the floor peaks.
- Persian. Persian DJs on the roster mix Persian classics with modern Iranian pop and international music.
- Russian and Eastern European. For CIS community weddings and parties. Not every open format DJ carries it.
One DJ on the roster plays Arabic, English, Iranian, Khaleeji and Indian music, from hip hop and house to Latin and lounge.
Female DJs and bilingual announcements
For Arabic weddings you can book a female DJ who mixes traditional and modern Arabic music and makes announcements in Arabic and English. See female DJ in Dubai. For a large wedding with speeches and cultural entrances, add a bilingual MC so the DJ can stay at the decks.
Weddings, parties and events
Arabic DJs play weddings, private parties and corporate events at hotels, villas and private venues in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. For wedding packages and the night's timeline, see the wedding DJ page. For parties, see DJ for a private party.
